Continued Success for Method Park

The year 2007 proved extremely positive for the Method Park group. The year-end closing recorded an increase in turnover of 28 percent to stand at €9.03m (2006: €7.05m) and a 35 percent increase in the number of employees to stand at 108 members of staff (2006: 80 employees).

For Method Park, 2007 was a year of investment, with almost €1m flowing into the development of new products for the quality management of software projects. These investments have paved the way for additional growth. The continued positive overall result may be attributed to the growing demand for development and consultation services as well as to the significant ongoing increase in sales of “project kit” the process portal solution. One of the company’s core competence areas lies in software development for the automotive industry and in medical engineering applications. More and more customers are placing their trust in the know-how of Method Park employees, 87 percent of whom have academic titles. To further strengthen the Method Park management, Jochen Seemann was appointed to the board of directors last year. He took over the position as COO with responsibility for the areas of sales, marketing, controlling, business development as well as product management. In the seven years leading up to his appointment as COO at Method Park, Seemann was based in Seattle, Washington (USA), and held leading positions in the area of software engineering tool development at Rational Software Corporation (today IBM) and Microsoft Corporation in Redmond. “Software now plays a key role in vehicles and medical equipment. The demands placed on software development in these areas are extremely stringent, resulting in new market niches opening up for medium-sized companies such as Method Park. What appeals to me most is the task of leading the company to international markets together with our customers and partners,” says Mr. Seemann of his move to Method Park. The success of Method Park is ultimately also the result of the corporate entrepreneurship practiced within the company, which involves each and every employee contributing to the overall business plan. For the promotion of corporate entrepreneurship and for five other disciplines, Method Park was awarded the "Top Job" distinction for the second time. This resulted from the successful completion of a three-stage process developed by the Institute for Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. With this distinction, Method Park is once again one of the 100 best employers among medium-sized companies in Germany. Furthermore, Method Park again received the "BAYERNS BEST 50" (Bavaria’s Best 50) award last year as one of the most innovative and fastest growing companies in Bavaria.
