This training provides you with an overview of the processes included in the Process Assessment Model SPICE for Mechanical Engineering.

It is designed from the perspective of a process manager, quality manager, assessor, or project team member, who would like to check their current mechanical engineering processes against the latest state-of-the-art process model.

This could be seen as a must, especially for the development of mechanical components which are part of mechatronic systems. Especially for this context, the mandatory interfaces to Automotive SPICE® Processes will be described.

You will discuss practical problems that can occur in an assessment and what the respective process improvements could look like.

Contents
  • Overview and motivation for process assessment according to ISO/IEC 330xx
  • Dependencies and interfaces to Automotive SPICE® v3.1
  • The measuring system: process profiles and assessment of capacity levels
  • Advanced information about Automotive SPICE® processes (as they are taken over to the Mechanic Process Model)
    • MAN.3 Project Management
