Talk in the Royal Park „Engineering Excellence - Managing Engineering Transformation“

Automotive product development is currently going through a far-reaching transformation. New methods like agile practices, product line engineering, or model-driven development challenge the way organizations develop their products. Safety regulations like the recently updated ISO 26262 or the upcoming ISO 21434 for vehicle cyber security demand higher capabilities in product development processes and execution.

In this talk we will discuss how to best combine fast-paced, highly iterative and agile development with long-running product development processes. We will challenge the traditional phase-gate models and assess new approaches focusing on continuously created value rather than passed milestones. We will also discuss the impact of new standards and regulations on those product development processes.
