Global Day of Coderetreat in Erlangen in November 2019

Under the motto "A day to celebrate passion and software craftsmanship", software engineers from a wide variety of industries will meet for an entire day in mid-November and in numerous cities around the globe to train their skills and exchange experience on the Global Day of Coderetreat. On Friday, November 15, a German GDCR event will take place at Method Park's headquarters in Erlangen.
The coderetreat is a workshop for software developers: In several pair programming sessions and driven by testing, they try to solve one task over and over again but with different challenges. The task - usually Conway's Game of Life - serves only as carrier material for these challenges. The goal is to explicitly not solve the task completely. Rather, the focus is on the exchange of experience and the training of the programming craftsmanship beyond everyday life and time pressure. This offers the opportunity to deepen familiar techniques and explore new programming languages.
Register for the GDCR in Erlangen via the Softwerkskammer or by email to events(at)methodpark.de. Participation is free; breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks are provided by Method Park. The number of participants is limited. If all seats are booked, further registrations will be added to a waiting list.
