ASQF professional group for agility meets in Erlangen in March 2017

From the abstract: When the agile manifesto was published in 2001, the triumph of agile process models in software engineering started at the latest. Today, 16 years later, only few sectors are left in which agile approaches are still not implemented. One of these sectors is software development of embedded systems. The main argument for delayed implementation in this sector, is actual or perceived dependence on associated hardware which has to be developed. What is more necessary than the attempt of agile development of this hardware?

By reference to an experience report, the presentation will outline possibilities of how to successfully develop both software and hardware in parallel with an agile process. What needs to be learnt from object-orientated design for circuit layouts, where added value is created with the implementation of automation engineering and how to create a completed PCB within a sprint.

The presenters:
Mario Blunk is CEO and owner of blunk electronic in Erfurt. This company develops, tests and produces electronic assemblies in the industrial and medical sectors. Its services include management of development and production processes according to Scrum and software development in Ada for safety-relevant applications.

Tobias Kästner is Expert Software Engineer at Method Park. He consults his customers especially from the medical sector on agile systems engineering for the Internet of Things.
