Attendees can improve collaboration and alignment in a SAFe® Lean-Agile enterprise when they become a SAFe Architect. The SAFe® for Architects course prepares System, Solution, and Enterprise Architects to engage across the organization as effective leaders and change agents who collaboratively deliver architectural solutions. During this three-day course, attendees will explore the roles, responsibilities, and mindset of Agile Architects, appreciate how to align architecture with business value and drive continuous flow to large systems-of-systems while supporting SAFe program execution.

This course is for senior technical contributors who need to understand the role of System, Solution, and Enterprise Architects in Lean-Agile enterprises. The course is also appropriate for individuals desiring a deeper view into how architecture enables continuous value flow and how architects engage in, and contribute to, a Lean-Agile enterprise.

  • Recommended:
    • Attendance at least one SAFe course prior to attending this one
    • Familiar with Agile principles and practices
  • Name of the Examination: SAFe® 5 Architect Exam
  • Format and language: Multiple choice; web-based, in English
  • Entry: Participations will be registered at Scaled Agile Inc. and receive the entry link to the online examination and SAFe® community platform.
  • Period of examination: 30 days after training
  • Amount of questions: 60 questions in 120 minutes
  • Threshold for passing: 75% correct answers
  • Retake fee: 50 USD per retake. The first retake may be done immediately. Second attempt on exam (first retake) can be done immediately after first attempt. The third retake has a waiting time of 10 days. The fourth retake has a waiting time of 30 days. For questions you may directly contact
  • Renewal of certification: The certification is valid for one year. The fee for renewal is 295 USD.
