"If I can work in a motivated team in an agile environment, high-quality software is the result."
As a Senior Software Engineer, Simon Kuhnle develops the graphical user interface of medical devices for Method Park customers. Embedded Linux, Continuous Integration, and Unit Testing are the topics he thrives on within the Internet of Things team. Direct customer contact and collaboration at all levels are essential to Simon Kuhnle, since he wants to help shape the course of projects.
Both worked particularly well in one of his most recent projects: the user interface development for a device that provides bone lengthening for patients. This project covered all topics: from user interface and embedded to hardware, requirements, testing, and test automation.
Simon Kuhnle brings the right know-how and strengths: experience in UI development, Qt/QML, Yocto Linux, code reviews, and test-driven development. He is well organized and keeps track of everything, even when things get busy in projects.
Software programming keeps him engaged, even beyond customer projects. Simon Kuhnle often joins the regulars of the regional hackerspace scene, a get-together for everyone who wants to program, solder or tinker together.
