Rational Software Ltd. and method park have been connected by a partnership of many years. As a technology partner method park offers OO>C as ANSI-C code generator from UML for Rational Rose. In addition method park supports Rational with several qualified consultants for RoseRT. Currently the co-operation is extended to Rational Unified Process.

At this year’s user conference method park is once again present as exhibitor and bronze sponsor. At the fair the presentations’ highlight is the product release of the 2.2. version of OO>C. OO>C was designed especially to be employed in embedded systems, and allows the use of UML for some of the smallest systems as well. With the new version the software developer takes advantage of essential improvements. The broadened possibilities for code generation include, for instance

> code optimization based on design patterns (Singleton pattern)

> automatic v-table optimization as well as

> generation of optimized state tables.

In addition, the graphic user interface was optimized. For the project portal project kit, a pre-release is planned for the RUC 2002 and a final sales release by late May. By means of its web-based portal technology, the customized information, process and knowledge management system for software development enables every participant to access information on the project and its development process directly from his place at work. Here the most important change is the incorporation of the web-based method kit idea, which has been put to the test for years, into the project portal. The user is thus able to individually adapt and view his development processes. Furthermore, the current status of the project can be viewed any time.
